Ramble #66: Red Poppy Festival
Saturday, April 25, 2026, 8:30 AM
The Red Poppy Festival is a fun annual event that brings many people to the Georgetown Square. The event is filled with artisans, food, a car show, a parade, and wildflowers in the surrounding neighborhoods. Find out all of the details on their webpage.
Let’s get an early start and plan to meet at 8:30 AM on 7th St in front of the Courthouse. This would be directly across from Black Sugar Caffe.
Use of the festival shuttle service is recommended (refer to their Parking, Shuttle, Detours page), as parking will be at a premium, and many of the neighborhood streets are designated No Parking Zones.
Preparation
Equipment depends upon what you want to shoot: flowers, people, cars, dogs, etc. All suggest a different approach.
You will probably want to carry water with you, too.
Agenda
